Kick. Australian TV Series

This one is from Australia Guys
Kick is a TV show which started sometime in 2007. Excellent story line and well acted but try as I can, I cannot find a season 2

Layla is university student from a Lebanese-Australian, Muslim family who is engaged to Sharif. Sharif comes across as a traditional man who believes that women have certain roles. Otherwise a pleasant man who is a hit with Layla's family.

All seems to be well till Layla meets and makes friends with Jackie at fencing class. Jackie is comfortable with being a lesbian and does not hide her feelings for Layla.
For Layla, her background makes the whole concept of being Lesbian...not an option

Watch this clip from Kicks
It's engaging

Mistresses. [Lesbian TV Show] Movie Clip

Mistresses was a UK TV drama based on the lives of 4 friends

Sort of like a 'sex in the city' comes to UK kind of show

And of course one of the friends has to have a lesbian relationship.

Although this seemed okayish, it felt like a bit of experimentation. And probably a 'token' gesture to the lesbian audience

I think this was in season one of the series
Come season 2, no mention of this scene
Hmmm

Meredith Baxter Comes Out As A Lesbian

Meredith Baxter you all know from Family ties where she played Elyse Keaton and some of you may remember her from other programs and movies like City of Angels or 'Bridget loves Bernie' for the older ones amongst us.

Not of her roles however pointed at the possibility that this lady is a lesbian

I have racked my brains and searched online to find any lesbian roles Meredith may have acted and came up with nothing
Please if any of you are aware of any such roles drop me a comment

but you know anyone with a gaydar that is in reasonable working order would have thought.. Hmmm

At least I did so it's not really surprising that Meredith came out as a lesbian recently

And it's great news. great for her.
She talks about not being able to have relationships that worked and after 3 marriages and 5 children, she found what worked for her. A loving relationship with another woman

And this got me thinking about the whole labeling thing

You say a person is a lesbian and it immediately, in some quarters conjures up stereotypes that only exist in peoples imaginations. For example to be a lesbian you can only love and be attracted to women

But sometimes it's not about the sex of the person, just about who the person is. That Meredith or you has found love with one woman does not mean that she or you is automatically attracted to all women. Or only women. The landscape of our emotions is so complex
