I was in London when this film premiered and was simply amazed at the amount of open interest in what was, to all intents and purposes, a lesbian movie

Set in Yorkshire England, my summer of love is about a lesbian relationship that develops between Tamsin, a rich but emotionally neglected girl and Mona who comes from a working class, mildly dysfunctional family. Throw in a born again brother who is an ex-prisoner and you have my summer of love

With Strange decisions like not bringing Dylan [Alex Hedison Rocks!]back in season 4, the strange one off appearance by Marina at the end of season 4 [she needs to be brought back], and Shane's brother who Shane seems to have forgotten all about; concerns are real

However, with Bette, Tina, Alice,Kit and Jenny delivering the fabulous performances that they bring to us every episode, there is hope yet for the L word
